Drapesaway Warranty Policy
Coverage and Periods
Drapesaway Shutters Blinds Curtains & Awnings guarantees that window covering materials and components will be free from defects for specified periods from the purchase date. This warranty applies to products bought after October 1, 2009, and professionally installed according to our specifications. It is non-transferable and only valid for the original purchaser, contingent on regular maintenance.
Repairs and Replacements
Limited to the repair or replacement of defective materials and components. Repairs will be conducted using like or similar parts. Drapesaway reserves the right to refund the original purchase price.
Exclusions
- Accidents and Alterations: Not covered.
- Discolouration and Misuse: Not covered.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Not covered.
- Force Majeure: Not covered (includes storm, fire, floods, explosions, earthquakes, vandalism, riots, acts of war, pollutants, or other occurrences beyond our control).
- Specific Environments: Installations subject to salt spray, marine influences, severe industrial or corrosive environments, or internal situations subject to moisture-laden air are not covered.
- Charges and Costs: Any charges or costs associated with removing, disassembling, reassembling, and reinstalling materials or components are not covered.
- Non-Qualified Alterations: Products adjusted, dismantled, installed, or altered by a person who is not a qualified representative of Drapesaway Shutters Blinds Curtains & Awnings are not covered.
Non-Transferable Warranty
This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred or assigned to any subsequent owners or occupants. If the property is sold or otherwise changes ownership, or if a new occupant inherits a previously installed Drapesaway product, Drapesaway disclaims any liability for warranty claims relating to that product.
Interpretation
This warranty shall be interpreted under relevant Australian consumer protection laws. All other implied terms, warranties, conditions, and consequences are excluded, except as outlined in this document.
Security and Light Blockage
No Drapesaway Shutters Blinds Curtains & Awnings product is intended for use as a security product. We do not guarantee any level of security. Likewise, our products are not guaranteed to provide 100% light blockage unless explicitly stated.
Warranty Claims
Warranty claims must be made promptly and within the warranty period. Claims must be accompanied by proof of payment of the full purchase price by the original purchaser. Drapesaway Shutters Blinds & Awnings will determine whether the defect is covered by the warranty. If covered, the product will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Drapesaway Shutters Blinds Curtains & Awnings. If not covered, the cost of replacement parts will be advised.

Cleaning and Care
The surfaces of shutters will collect a layer of dust over time. Regular dusting with a soft damp cloth will remove this buildup. If further cleaning is required, wash with mild water and a soft cloth. Ensure the surfaces are dried off with a soft cloth. Chlorine-based cleaners or other cleaners containing organic solvents could affect the surface appearance and long-term durability of the product. At no time should an abrasive be used to clean the shutters.
